“Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments.” mal 4:4 nkjv |
September 8, 2026 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.” mal 3:6 nkjv Now, if Yahweh had a nature of “changing,” how would we know how to trust Him, and how could we understand His expectations of us… think about that. Yeshua [Jesus], who is Yahweh incarnate, likewise is unchangeable, as noted by the writer of Hebrews: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” heb 13:8 The book of Malachi is the last book in our Protestant Bibles. Chapter 4 is its final message. It has the subtitle [in some Bibles] as “The Great Day of God.” It begins with these words: “For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the Lord of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch. Notice there are only two kinds of people being considered here, the wicked and the righteous [the only two kinds of people in Yahweh’s view; there is no middle group]. This leads me to stating my view of the Bible’s definition of the group named in the title scripture, “all Israel.” Now, specifically in context, these were the people who came out of Egypt, namely some consider them “Jews,” escaping in the Exodus… however, Exodus 12:37-38, says besides the children of Israel [Jacobs family by extended generations], there were other [non-Israelite] people who had joined themselves to Israel because they had seen Yahweh’s incredible miracles and wrath that was demonstrated in Egypt… they were smart enough to decide to take their chances with the children of Israel rather than stay and be devastated in that aftermath. Anyway, Moses records this mass of humanity as a “mixed multitude.” They were also among those who caused Moses grief during their 40-years wilderness journey. It is noteworthy that Malachi, in his last writings, brings up the “Law of Moses.” We also refer to it as the Torah. It is the center of gravity for conflict concerning Israel’s destiny. Since Yeshua later is called the Word [Torah] that became flesh (John 1:1-14), we can likewise say Yeshua is the center of gravity for conflict since His coming, about 2 or 3 BC, a debatable subject, but close enough for our discussion. While not a properly defined concept, the “Jews” are said to be Old Testament followers of the Law, and Christians are New Testament followers of Jesus… Now think about it; if Yeshua [Jesus] is the Torah/Word… should not both “Jews” and “Christians” be following the same pathway? Well, we see in the final conflict for men’s souls, the devil has two targets… “Jews” and “Christians,” how so? Well here’s how: “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God [Jews] and have the testimony of Jesus Christ [Christians].” rev 12:17 nkjv (bracketed notations mine] Regardless of how you try to divide the “believers” in to two groups… From the Exodus time of Yahweh’s giving of the Law [Torah], He clearly says there is one Torah for all. (ex 12:49, num 15:16) Paul also clearly says there is no distinctions for relationship with Christ. (gal 3:28, col 3:11) So if Yeshua and the Torah are one, which I believe they are, then why do religious people keep trying to separate them… which will be continuing until Yeshua returns… it is one of the devil’s best tactics to divide people who believe [in] the Torah, or Yeshua, represented respectively as the Old Testament believers and New Testament believers. Now it is my thinking that the two groups of people we need to understand are the believer and the non-believer; those in Christ, who keep the commandments [do them according to the Torah], as opposed to those who flatly rebuke God’s commandments [word] and His messiah, including those who fragment the commandments and the identity of the real Yeshua [Jesus] as one who accepts everyone no matter how wicked they are… he does love them, but not their ways. Peter says God would that all would come to repentance into salvation. I hope you will really give serious thought to this issue. Yeshua said he would rather we be cold or hot, otherwise he would spew us out. He obviously does not like lukewarm “middle” ground. rev 3:16 Now we come to the main point of my thoughts… for this devotional. With Yahweh, it is always the same. As when Malachi says God’s day is coming, burning like an oven, it will be the same in the last days [soon, I think]. Even following Yahweh’s harsh judgments, consider these people: “But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. 21 And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.” rev 9:20-21 nkjv Simply put, some are wicked… and will not turn back from their evil ways. Who is it that Paul warns the church at Galatia that they will not inherit the kingdom of God… “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” gal 5:19-21 nkjv (emphasis mine) Paul is teaching from the warnings written in the Torah… it [God’s Law] still stands, even after Christ has come. He declares clearly in Matthew 5:17, that He did not come to destroy the Law, but to fulfill it. It always stands, the Bible tells us, “Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.” ps 119:89 nkjv Let me ask what is it that hinders you from taking Yahweh’s instructions for your life seriously? Do you know we are running out of time? The coming AI challenges are designed to capture your mind and soul, such that you become incapacitated to know right from wrong… holy from unholy… wickedness from righteousness, and divert your faithful commitment from Yeshua to the anti-Christ system… Only the indwelling presence of Yahweh’s Holy Spirit and your mind’s renewal in its understanding of truth [God’s Commandments] can sustain and direct you through the turbulent times approaching… don’t think otherwise. Prepare your heart today, tomorrow is an illusion. Shalom, John |
