| "Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.” ps 4:1 nkjv

September 6, 2022 First, the Psalmist establishes “his” righteousness is from [of] his God… Yahweh. We have no righteousness of our own, as it is only imparted to us when we are born again, made one with Yeshua, by faith in Him… because of what He has done for us by taking our sins upon himself and “nailing” them to His cross… and thereafter, cloaking us in His righteousness. Another thing to notice in the Psalms, is that when the writer uses “me [my],” it can mean “us [our],” and as an example: “You have relieved me in my distress;” applies to “us” when we enjoin the Psalmist in a prayer of the same… I think this is one of the ways the Psalms teaches us to pray and cry out to Yahweh… in our distress. “And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved…” joel 2:32 nkjv Are you not glad that Yahweh provided that through Yeshua, you can be one of the “whoever” [whosoever] people that has direct line access to the “hearing ear” of our Savior; who hears us because He is always listening for our cry. “Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved [shaken]. Ps 55:22 nkjv What is it that causes us to have stress, heavy burdens, restlessness, troubled and concerned thoughts? Our days (even our nights) can be filled with so many issues that we simply have no control over… yet they seem to press upon us from so many different sources and directions. The past two years have even thrown us into a spinning centrifuge of man-made, and purposefully orchestrated PSYOP attacks that unless one has strong Biblical roots and is holding fast to Yahweh’s truth, we can be brought to the place of “distress” that the Psalmist spoke of… yet as believers, we have the open ear of Yahweh to cry out to… and we shall not be shaken. Consider this cartoon message by Daniel Botkin, from the last issue of his bi-monthly “Gates of Eden” publication. The message in this pictorial cartoon is the eternal answer from Yahweh’s provision for our sanity and unshaken mindset… It is where our thoughts are focused, where we decide to fix our thinking, and what we decide upon as to whom, and in what we believe in. The cosmic illusion that invades our mind and tries to destabilize our faith and peace is blocked by the Scripture that says: “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” phil 4:8 nkjv Shalom… John |
