Yahweh has set His focus upon Zion… Jerusalem is His crown jewel of all the places on the earth. He calls it “His Holy Mountain.” Consider the scripture above and also this:

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, 7 And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” isa 62:6-7 nkjv

Yahweh has a plan, from the beginning. Yahweh has a set appointed times, called Moed [h4150 in Hebrew lexicon], also translated as “feast,” and He calls them “My Feasts,” not just specifically to the “Jews,” as some claim. Actually, those present at the proclamation of the Torah [Law of Moses] at Mt. Sinai, were called the “Children of Israel,” [descendants of Jacob, who was named Israel by Yahweh], and a mixed multitude of gentiles were also there. I think Yahweh seems to be saying, if you claim My heritage [by faith as did Abraham], and believe Yeshua is the only Savior, then the Torah is your instruction book. And these “feasts,” are closely linked to what He calls holy convocations, “miqra” [h4744 in Hebrew lexicon].

There are four spring “Moed” appointments commanded by Yahweh, and there are three fall “Moed” appointments commanded by Yahweh. Now, He is quite emphatic about “appointed times.” He also says they are to be forever… too much of this detail for me to cover and expand on in this short devotional. The connection I want to make herein is, that Yeshua spoke a great deal about Jerusalem and its eternal destiny. As we watch the news and try to sort out the current events and their relevance to Yeshua’s role in Jerusalem’s activity, we have the “feasts” of Yahweh as sign posts, like road-map instruction clues. Yeshua is said to have fulfilled the first four spring feast prophecies, and it is thought that He will soon fulfill the final three fall feast prophecies. The understanding of the “feast” and “miqra,” is said to be “rehearsals” for understanding the prophetic times. Each has a distinct message in it for us.

This past few days, Biblical calendar Tishri 1-10 (our September 16th – 25th this year), have been about the days of self-examination, repentance, and reconfirmation of our heart’s dedication to our Savior Yeshua, and sincerely embracing the expectations that a Holy God has for us… by our choice to faithfully obey and follow His Word’s direction. Tishri 1, is Yom Teruah (feast of trumpets, also called Rosh Hashannah), and Tishri 10, is Yom Kippur (day of atonement). Those who celebrate these “feast” and “Miqra,” typically believe the coming return of Yeshua will fall on these “appointed times.” Why not, Yahweh has a solid record of fulfilling the prophetic word in the spring feasts very precisely.

Now, Tishri 15, (our September 30th this year) is the beginning of the “Feast of Tabernacles,” or Sukkot in the Hebrew Bible… also called “feast of booths.” This culminating 8-day “feast” is considered as a season of joy, and is believed to be the time of final ingathering of the faithful to the Messiah for the end of the age ushering in the Millennium period of a thousand years of reign in peace with Yeshua in His Kingdom… Jerusalem will have become “a praise in all the earth.” as Isaiah speaks to above.

This is a time to be thankful and joyful for the fantastic plan Yahweh has set before us, and for His eternal faithfulness to His Word, His Holy Mountain, Jerusalem, Israel, His faithful followers, and to all who will come to Him in faith and receive His Salvation [Yeshua]. Don’t be late to the celebration! There is one more “Moed” to be concerned with… that is the “appointed time” for the door to be closed... and then, it will be too late.
