| If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.” ps 130:3-4 nkjv

August 9, 2022 “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” ps 119:89 nkjv God’s Word, the eternal Torah, is foundational and fundamental to our spiritual and natural being. It is the Word by which Yahweh “spoke the world into existence.” In Genesis Chapter 1, in the first 26 verses, eight times, Yahweh, by His spoken command of “then God said,” designed, created, and formed the World we live in… its the same now as it was then. It is important to understand that ALL THINGS in creation are kept in proper order by the Word of Yahweh… only He allows any change or “disorder” of them. The writer of Hebrews says: “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power...” Heb 1:2-3 nkjv Notice carefully… The “Word of God,” is the substance from which our new “born again” nature and spiritual condition is established, more certainly “created,” as the born again are called “new creations.” Please study and understand what these next Bible verses say [and mean]. “Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jn 3:3 nkjv “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1Pet 1:23 kjv The NKJV uses “through” the word of God. It is only by and through the eternal Torah in the Flesh (Yeshua the Messiah) that our new birth is possible. Reading John 1:1-14 we understand the totality of our life’s meaning and existence depends upon Yahweh’s specific design and plan for “chosen people” to become the “sons of God.” Only the “incorruptible” Torah Word has the “upholding” power to change our sinful natural man into an acceptable “son of God.” The Holy Spirit was given to “ignite” [into reality] the resident Word of God that birthed us into new creations… which Word is always faithful to accomplish what Yahweh sent it to do: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” is 55:11 nkjv The more of Yahweh’s Word we have “hidden in our hearts,” and working in our mental convictions, the more our new creation man takes on the likeness and nature of our “spiritual birth father,” Yeshua, who has begotten us by the shedding of His blood at Calvary, which supernaturally brings us into the “qualification” of being among the “many brethren,” of which Yeshua is the Firstborn… Note what Paul says to the Romans: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” Rom 8:28-30 nkjv This would be a good place for a “hallelujah” shout… Yahweh has done this “purposely” and by predestination… Do you know who you are in the Messiah Yeshua? You are chosen and special, don’t let anyone or anything distort your understanding of WHO you are in Yeshua! Now think about the title verse used in this week’s devotional: “If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.” ps 130:3-4 nkjv Shalom… John |
