“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.“ 1 jn 3:4 nkjv |
August 25, 2026 Do you need an interpreter to understand this? For a quick refresher, Yahweh [God] makes the rules… we only get to make the choices. Now, it is our choices that we will be held responsible for on the day of final judgment. Do you think Yahweh is unfair in this concept? Or should we be allowed to stumble our way through excuse and finger pointing that it was, as Flip Wilson is famous for saying, “the devil made me do it…!” No, each one of us will certainly stand in full transparency before God, someday… The writer of Hebrews says it this way: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” heb 4:12-13 nkjv I love this scripture… it is a believer’s pressure relief valve… it frees us from thinking we can evade consequences of disregarding God’s truth and righteousness by wiggling out of our responsibilities by whatever method you think works, ___________, you can fill in the blank… which is mans [present] way of handling life, as it is demonstrated daily in our culture and humanity's debacle of sinful living. As if Yahweh’s opinion did not matter. Once you die, and you will, that ship will have sailed… it is no longer an option or consideration for what one then must deal with. Let these words of Yeshua sink into your deepest thinking: “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him [Yahweh] who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” mat 10:28 nkjv At the end of the day, the sinner [unrepentant] will have lost the the loving mercy, forgiveness, and redemptive provision of the Savior’s shed blood of the eternal covenant… because of rejecting Yeshua’s offer of salvation, and for making foolish and selfish choices, and whereby the deceitfulness of sin will have destroyed their eternal destiny. Now as a teacher and pastor, I want to shock you [if necessary] into understanding that sin is real. Clearly it separates us from God. It masquerades as tolerance and fraudulent grace… Please give serious and prayerful study to these words of Paul the Apostle… warning the believers at Rome: “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” rom 1:28-32 nkjv [emphasis mine] We must either fear man or God… living a life of holiness, without which no man will see God… as Hebrews 12:14 tells us… is not a suggestion, it is necessary, it should be a natural desire of a redeemed believer. We have been given the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to “choose” this faithful walk with truth and conviction. Everything in this natural “Babylon" society is becoming more invasive and more attractive… will you let it consume your inheritance and squander your “birthright” citizenship, as Esau did? It is an absolute necessity that you realize that our adversary tries to place us in slow boil, so we are not shocked awake, but think we are “doing just fine,” like some of us may have become. I liken it to driving when really tired and we find ourselves nodding off… but snapping out of it before it becomes fatal… I think we need to give more heed to “practicing” the right things… instead of drifting along in some of the currents that deceitfully move us. Most of these issues are in the battle zone of the mental and visual realm, and also “hearing.” We are told to be “renewed” in the sprit of our minds; that we should have the “mind of Christ.” How does that work…? For openers, it starts with giving Him more attention than we give the cosmic illusion that’s pulling us into its vortex of deceptions. Now consider these two verses: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” rom 12:1-2 nkjv [emphasis mine] AND, “ I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;” deut 30:19 nkjv Its time for a “head [heart] check,” the late Pastor Jeff Hidden cautioned, concerning these issues, that procrastination was simply disobedience in slow motion… Yeshua cautioned that tomorrow is an illusion… that may never come, if we die tonight. Lu 12:18-20 One must do their serious business with God NOW, not someday. If you or I are not the messenger of truth, who is? Do we send a deceitful message of approval by our “being ok” with someone [even those we love] who lives and indulges in what Yahweh defines as sin as in the above title verse, so then, what is our role? “...therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” ez 33:7-9 nkjv From the beginning, the question asked was; “am I my brother’s keeper?” It seems from the words that Yahweh instructed Ezekiel above, that in fact we are… Let us prayerfully consider our ways. Amen. Shalom, John |
