| “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” ps 34:1 nkjv

August 2, 2022 “To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy.” ps 59:17 nkjv There are at least 164 verses in the Psalms that speak of “praise” towards Yahweh… and for a multitude of reasons. The last Psalm, 150, reads like this: Praise the Lord! One of the main and fundamental purposes for our existence, and our being created, is for being the earthly source of praise towards the creator, our creator, who’s original “praise leader,” (Lucifer, the “great worshiping angel,”) profaned his purpose and duty… part of that duty was thought to be praise to Yahweh, which is derived from Ezekiel chapter 28, and Isiah chapter 14. Following his fall from favor with Yahweh, and being angry and jealous, he made it his purpose to interrupt and silence the sound of praise that created man was to offer to the King of Glory… The opposition forces in a believer’s life, caused by sickness, poverty, sorrow, rejection, persecution and more, try to block the voice and spirit of “breath” praising the LORD Yahweh. These obstacles will not be in the New Jerusalem Kingdom. For now, we must recognize them for what they are, and knowing that, we push through with the “sacrifice of praise.” It is a sacrifice because it is done when one least feels like doing it… obeying the spirit and putting down the flesh and mental conflict that tries to suppress us. The writer of Hebrews says: “For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” heb 13:14-16 nkjv I believe that the sacrifice of praise, opens the door for any provision the believer needs… healing, peace, comfort, provision in famine, protection from evil doers, and more. Because, as the Scripture says, “for with such sacrifices God [Yahweh] is well pleased.” Let’s be encouraged to not let up, but to press on, as Paul says: “For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Gal 6:8-9 nkjv Shalom… John |
