| “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” heb 4:12 nkjv

July 27, 2021 When the writer of Hebrews, wrote the words above; he was making reference to the Children of Israel who had received the instructions of Yahweh, and had seen great signs and miracles, yet they did not enter into the rest Yahweh had intended for them, because their knowledge of theses things was not mixed with faith, and they were disobedient. He also said this in the next verse (heb 4:13 nkjv). “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” The Word and Spirit of Yahweh are continually examining our thoughts and the intents or our hearts... Thankfully, this is true; because it frees us from the thought of being discrete with our “private” life... Yahweh always knows our plans and we should conform our thoughts and ways quickly to His holiness and be thankful He makes such things possible. So then, with the challenging times in which we live, with things changing dramatically, and with so much uncertainty in front of us, it is really important for us not to loose our focus on what Yahweh’s Word instructs us to do and that we exercise our God given faith that He will step in and help us be obedient to His Word… thereby, everything else will fall into place. Paul told the Corinthians the following: “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2cor 10:3-6 nkjv Truly, the battlefield is in our own thinking, and how we deal with the “word game” of strongholds of fake news and false thundering of the media and their dark spiritual overtones. The real challenge is to keep our faith and not let all the distractions blur our vision of the destiny that faithful believers have prepared for them in the eternal realm… our journey here and now may become difficult, but the believers before us had similar issues in their lives. If you read Hebrews Chapter 11, often referred to as “Heroes of the Faith,” you can see the tribulations and challenges that confronted them… yet Yahweh saw them through unto the end. And so it is with us. The “Lord’s Prayer” frames a perspective that Yeshua said we should pray; part of the answer to our prayers and our faith is us doing our part to actively walk out what we claim to believe and pray for. Praise Yahweh for His everlasting faithfulness to His Word… it is our solid foundation and anchor in all the turbulent storms that come upon us. Shalom… John |
