“From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy. 4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah” ps 61:2-4 nkjv How do you see Yahweh [GOD]? By what source do you form your thoughts and opinions of the faithfulness of the GOD of Israel, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the Creator of everything? Where does your faith end… trouble, overwhelming obstacles, threatening destruction's, loss of financial substance, even abandonment of family and loved ones, perhaps a terminal medical prognosis... ? Are there circumstances where you simply cannot trust “faith” to “handle” your fears and desperation? If so, you are not alone… It is my opinion that it takes continual fellowship and refreshing of the eternal Word of GOD, and the inner-working of the Holy Spirit, daily and faithfully, for our faith to sustain us beyond our own natural abilities… the Psalms are living [Spirit] and dynamic proclamations that continually remind us of Who Yahweh is, and how His provision for our faith [in Him] is sufficient to keep us from the influence of destructive evil forces that try to distract us and separate us from the security His Word affirms us with, so that we can live a life free from the fear of death, hell, and the grave. Oh yes, there is also the loving-kindness and grace of Yahweh, sovereign and merciful, also able and willing to rescue the careless and wasted soul, that in desperation cries out for deliverance and salvation… “Whosoever calls upon the name of the LORD, shall be saved.” rom 10:13 nkjv Thank you Yeshua! “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” is 26:3 nkjv Consider this, Psalms 46, nkjv: “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah 4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. 6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah 8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has made desolations in the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah There are more Psalms, such as 19, 23, 34, 73, 91… and others; They are a eternal witness of the everlasting mercy, provision, and faithfulness of Yahweh for keeping His people, for their well being… for those who fear Him and trust Him. I think it is amazing that down through the ages of time that Yahweh has preserved His Word and its promises for us. There is something very special about study of Yahweh’s Word and prayerful fellowship with Him… I think the answer to the “source of faith” question mentioned above is found here. Time is a thing we can’t get back when we spend it… What matters is where are we spending our time… Think about it. Shalom, John |
