“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” heb 11:1 nkjv |
June 2, 2026 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” rom 10:17 nkjv When you “hear,” it is important that you include attentive understanding, and take God’s Word seriously, then act accordingly… for faith to “come.” Conversely, faith can leave [fade away] by not “hearing,” by carelessly deflecting the truth, because God’s Word is truth. Jn 17:17 It is what sanctifies us, according to Yeshua [Jesus]. In fact, the word “hear” to Hebrew thinking, has strong connections to “doing” what you hear, otherwise you can’t say you have “heard” whatever is said. Cause and effect, in a general sense. Lets look at “faith” a bit more: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” heb 11:6 nkjv Now consider this, the Bible’s message is a multiplicity of lessons we can learn only by faith, because Yahweh, for His divine plan and method of choice, decided that our “faith response” was His way to measure our genuine respect and honor of Him… remember, only He gets to make the rules, and we can only make choices… to believe and obey, or wander off into the swamp of our own intellectual confusion… thinking we are smarter than He is… that will not end well. Recall this powerful message of faith… “For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” rom 4:3 nkjv Paul is speaking of the Abrahamic Covenant, in Genesis 15 nkjv. There are many Biblical lessons concerning faith, we just often don’t really absorb their teaching as we should… to strengthen our faith. Faith is how Yahweh’s plan was established to save humanity, from eternity past, the “lamb slain before the foundation of the world,” He looked forward [He sees the end from the Beginning, isa 46:10], He knew everyone of us would have “bitten into the same apple Eve did.” So, Yeshua came, the Word in the flesh, and became the central most important person and event “to date,” in human history… His soon return will be the climax event. He made “faith” in Christ our escape from the devil’s grasp on our natural fallen nature… “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” jn 3:16-17 Amazing, is it not… While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us… think about it. Paul tells us in Romans 12:3, that God gave us all a “measure of faith.” I believe Yahweh gave each of us sufficient faith to respond willfully to His expectations of us. Those expectations are clearly written in the Torah… and later exampled by Yeshua and His teachings while He walked among us. There’s one more thing, He [Yeshua] commanded the disciples to stay in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit was given them, and to all of us too… whosoever will… all written in Acts chapters 1 and 2… When we “hear” His truth/Word, faith comes. It is our willingness to receive and obey and trust [as Abraham did] the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to “increase our faith.” Thereby, faith grows fruit in us [from the Word seed], which will bring forth [produce] the fruit of the Spirit, as Paul explains in gal 5:16-26 nkjv. This happens as we walk in the Spirit, not walking in the flesh, our own ways [really unbelief]. Then, because we reject the truth, we condemn ourselves under the righteousness judgment of the Law… the forever settled Word of God, ps 119:89… which Yeshua came to free us from. Paul sums this all up in Romans 12:1-2, as follows. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Amen. As our world becomes more and more insane in indulgences of flesh and greed, unless we see things outside the illusional matrix increasingly engulfing us, and hammered into our thinking in daily exposure to the “Babylon” we live in, we will succumb to unfaithfulness that will drown us in it. Yeshua is our savior and safe haven, He knows the way through the valley of the shadow of death… and leads us in paths of righteousness for His namesake. He is the author and the finisher of our faith, and the substance of our faith; walking in His ways, repenting of our failures [sins and transgression against God], secures us in His mercy, forgiveness, and grace, and keeps us out of the snare of the wicked one. Do you walk in faith? Have you considered what it is all about? Do you believe in Yeshua’s importance in your life? These are questions we all must deal with… nothing else is more important.
