“I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.”  jn 5:30 nkjv

June 17, 2025

Because He said so. I can remember times when my children were little and I would ask or tell them to do, or not do, something, they would say, why/why not? And sometimes I would say, “because I said so.” I can actually remember my dad telling me the same thing. Can any of you remember this same experience? Sometimes I would tell my children a more informed reason along with the direct instruction. The point is, it is in our nature to push back with “why,” if it interferes with our wishes… would you agree?

Again, Yeshua speaking, “Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”  jn 5:19 nkjv   Here we see Yeshua doing the will of the Father, because He said so… Our highest pursuit is to follow Yeshua’s faithfulness to being like His Father.

Since Yeshua, the Father, and the Spirit are “one,” then we can understand [if we will] that what Yahweh gave Moses at Mt Sinai [the Torah], is likewise the same inclusively. In the New Testament, Hebrews tells us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”  heb 13:8 nkjv;  and, The Bible says, in  Psalms 119:89,  “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” Yahweh also said to the “sons of Jacob,” “For I am the Lord, I do not change;” mal 3:6 nkjv

Actually, I think the central theme here is that “truth” is eternal, and does not have different meanings, although I have heard people say that it is “relevant.” They will need to work that out on their own, that is if they have an open mind and honest heart.

Paul the Apostle tells us, “we are ambassadors for Christ…”  2 cor 5:20 nkjv;   Just prior to Yeshua’s ascension He said, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” acts 1:8 nkjv

That being the case, I think in essence that we are to be broadcasters/transmitters, of the gospel or “good news,” that Yeshua was sent to us for us to hear and learn from… and live by… you think? In our natural condition, because we are all imperfect people, how then can we really reflect Yeshua and His nature and likeness? How is this to work? It seems to me that the parable of the “seed being the Word of Yahweh,”  [lu 8:11 nkjv]  that when planted in good soil of a redeemed heart/mind, will bring forth good fruit… which Yahweh purposely planned from the beginning. It is called the law of the harvest, that everything reproduces after its own kind. We are, by faith in Yeshua, a new creation people who are literally called a “kingdom of priests…”

“Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.” ex 19:5-6 nkjv   And;

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 pet 2:9-10 nkjv

Notice that in both the Old Testament and New Testament, an “imperfect” people were chosen by Yahweh to do his “broadcasting,” because the Children of Israel, and we born again believers today, were and are, to be the example and proclamation of Yahweh’s plan and purpose to bring redemption to humanity… The “Israel” that Yahweh provided the world has a central root and stem [the tree of life/Yeshua], we are all the branches [for bearing fruit of the Spirit], and some are redeemed “natural branches” and some of us are “grafted on” [once wild branches, before redemption]. It is an amazing thing.

Now what does the Holy Spirit have to work with… is it not our obedience and willingness to simply hear Yahweh’s “Because I said so,” forever settled Word, and the faithful counsel of the Spirit? Remember, the “seed” of good fruit has been planted in our hearts and minds… all a function and substance that Yahweh designed… now what does this “seed” produce in us?

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”  gal 5:22-23 nkjv  If you will carefully examine this fruit, I think you will see it is the very nature of Yahweh Himself and of the example Yeshua provided us in His earthly ministry… When we simply say “yes LORD,” instead of why, or why not, we will have arrived at the point of understanding who we are in Christ. It is then that our broadcast-transmitter example will serve the purpose of the Ambassadors and witnesses that we were/are purposed to be, thus the imperfect “us” will be usable walking, talking and vibrant life because of Yeshua’s work in our life. Simply the “perfect” Christ working with us redeemed “branches” that draw life from the tree of life… I think.

Shalom, John

Yeshua said, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” jn 15:5 nkjv
