| "Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being." Ps 146:1-2 esv

May 25, 2021 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Ps 150:6 esv The Bible is full of scriptures that represent a unanimous outpouring of worship and praise from all the attendees in Yahweh’s presence… Especially in Revelation Chapter 4, where the Apostle John describes a glorious scene with accompanying lightnings and thunderings, and what he describes as “four living creatures,” that do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come.” Rev 4:8 kjv We also read in the Psalms about being joyful and glad, and entering His presence as noted here: “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” Ps 100:1-5 kjv And here we read: “The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. 18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. 19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. 20 The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.” Ps 145:17-20 esv There are clues and “in kind” examples given us, as true and faithful believers, of how to interact with our King, and if we note the fine points, we will reap great rewards. For example; He is “near” to those who “call on Him in truth.” What is that truth? I think it would be to follow His teaching and not rework the method to suit ourselves (not uncommon of the one who wishes to negotiate with God instead of obediently serving Him). And, He “fulfills” the desire of those who fear Him, resulting in His ear being sensitive to their cries… and He saves them. And finally, he “preserves” those who love Him. I would ask you you to look around your surrounding circumstances and consider the scene… is it a place and venue where Yahweh’s truth is being respected and revered, or is it a place of chaos and no place for you to identify with where maybe God may be? Are the folks you hang out with in fear of a Holy God, or too absorbed in themselves to know the peril ahead of them (should He consider them wicked)? And finally, should it be necessary to cry for help, is the desire in your heart for Him sufficient for Him to hear your cry and save you… and preserve you? I think we each need to resolve these issues in our relationship with a Holy God, certainly if we expect to be among the redeemed standing before the Throne of God [when that day comes; Rev 7:9, 7:15 kjv], and it will come for all faithful believers. Shalom… John |
