The Bible tells us that “greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world." One of the Ministries of the Holy Spirit is to lead us into all Truth

May 18, 2021

When Yahweh (God) delivered the Children of Israel out of Egypt [the Passover event, known as the Exodus] it was the first of the seven “Feast of Yahweh” events recorded in the Bible. The second event, immediately following the Passover, was the command to eat only “Unleavened Bread,” that lasted seven days. The third event, “Firstfruits,” was embodied in the same time-frame. The fourth event, was Shavuot, [more familiar to Christians as Pentecost]. These four events are referred to as the Spring Feast of Yahweh; considered to have been fulfilled for their prophetic implications… Notably, Yeshua is the central and primary focus of these “in kind” foretelling prophetic examples of the role of the Messiah in Yahweh’s plan for [the time of man] and His plan of Salvation for all believers, all divinely per-ordained from the beginning. For a detailed reference, you can read Leviticus chapter 23.

The remaining three Fall Feast of Yahweh [of the exclusive Seven] are: Feast of the Blowing of Trumpets [Rosh Hashanah]; Yom Kippur [Atonement]; and Sukkot [Tabernacles]... are all the exclusive work of the Messiah, as prophesied and are yet to be fulfilled; but many, including myself, believe these events are now knocking on the door of the final seven years of “the time of man.”

You may wonder why I have chosen this subject for this week’s devotional reading; namely, it is because as I type these words, today on the Hebrew calendar of events is Shavuot [the Christian calendar notes May 26 as Pentecost]. I don’t have time to elaborate on this, but if you wish to read a really good article on the subject, go to this link.

The important thing for me is to emphasize that God’s Word and the work of His Holy Spirit is the “Greater is He” element [IN US], than he that is in the world. I believe the “he that is the world” is the spirit of Anti-Christ that is rapidly enveloping the minds and motivations of the great majority of people worldwide… including many marginalized “believers.” And, like the children Israel were delivered out of the clutches of pagan powers of ancient Egypt, so Yahweh has a plan to deliver the willing and spiritually disheveled, “whosoever will” people, who “call upon the Name of Yahweh.” Rom 10:13 kjv

Calling upon the name of Yahweh is not easy for the one in bondage, with a broken down spirit and mentally confused soul that is being held captive, as Israel was in Egypt… enter Moses, Yahweh's deliverer, who was a type of Messiah, who was yet to come. The Passover event teaches us much in regard to the way Yahweh works among His people. Yeshua (Jesus) is that deliverer that is the living Word and indwelling Spirit that is the Greater ONE in US.

Pentecost [Shavuot] is the eternally ordained memorial event that we are to remember annually that causes us to rejoice and celebrate our deliverance from bondage and spiritual confusion. The first Shavuot event, according to the Hebrew Sages is the giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai, soon after Israel’s deliverance from Egypt. We refer to it (short version) as the Ten Commandments. Ex 20:1-17 kjv    We Christians, who revere the total Bible as sanctifying truth, consider the second Shavuot event as recorded in Acts 2:1-4 kjv,  as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. I wish I had time and space to more thoroughly cement theses two events into their proper context… it is a profound truth.

Our love for the “truth” and our faith in the “Word” will sanctify us and sustain us through all of our life's challenges and will hold us steadfast in all our ways… Our love for the Word (Torah- Yeshua in the Flesh) and the empowering of the Holy Spirit is what our most important Christian “believer's” mission is all about… it is the one and primary thing that we must embrace and never let go of… it is a choice. And, the Torah [written Word], and the real Yeshua and His life-style, and the inspirational leading of His Holy Spirit will NEVER disagree... remember, they are "One."

Shalom… John
