 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” jn 14:27 nkjv  If you could package real peace and offer it to a troubled society, you would become very wealthy overnight. Your door would have a long line of buyers jostling for position to get in. Why is this so? What causes so many people to have such troubled souls? Why do they turn to everything other than the promise of God to find this thing called peace? And, likewise, why do so many turn to alcohol and drugs to dull their minds to avoid thinking of their real circumstances and the issues that trouble them? Why does the offer of God’s peace rate so far down on the list of solutions for their problems? Do they really know and understand what real peace is… How can they know if they have not been taught right/wrong, good/evil, self respect and values of themselves and that of others? And certainly, “who” makes the rules and who defines those values in their thinking? With such disconnects in our modern society, and with everyone’s nose in their cell phone and social media, how can they have a Biblical world view? I think their “peace” is measured by their approval or disapproval of things their digital concepts inculcate them with [as they affect them]… and thereby, they are emotionally glad or troubled.

For what it is worth, I have observed both “believers” and carnal people enveloped in turbulent emotional stress floundering in a vacuum of spiritual darkness… Light is said to have a positive energy value, while darkness is simply defined as the absence of light. God’s word is spirit, it is life, it is light; it lifts up the weary soul, it nourishes the lifeless one in despair, and it is light that overcomes the darkness of evil spiritual and carnal stress that the devil tries to afflict God’s people with.

I recently read of a person who had chosen to end their own life [successfully], and the police said they were searching for a suicide note or some manifesto the deceased and troubled soul may have left… to explain their actions. Do you see anything wrong with the police’s thinking? Their investigation is not considering the cure for the absence of peace the person was experiencing. The certain [and perhaps only] cure for self-destruction is to have Jesus in your heart and walk in His ways… Although, I am not aware of any criminal psychologist that consider that remedy. Our mental health system is broken and I think unfixable without God’s solutions. Peace, and that as provided by Yahweh’s love and methods provided us by Yeshua [Jesus] can break every fetter and bondage that entangles our minds. The Bible says the natural mind is at enmity with God. rom 8:7 nkjv

Additionally, another issues exists, I think modern Pharmacy drugs and the cartel of Rockefeller medicine, and its business model, is a profit driven enduring “treatment” system. It is not a “cure” system. It is an addiction pathway and the largest “legal” drug sales industry on planet earth. What other products have warnings on the labels say they can cause suicidal thinking? You think! There is a lot written about SSRIs, defined as:

“SSRIs, or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, are a class of antidepressant medications used to treat depression and other mental health conditions by increasing the availability of serotonin in the brain.”

There have been congressional hearings discussing mass shootings and mental health and the drugs many of the shooters have been taking; most with some kind of criminal history, and most with parole violations and multiple releases from custody… What troubles these criminal minds? Why do they not have peace and natural civil lifestyles? What [and who] have influenced their lives that led them to destructive behavior? Volumes of psychological analysis have examined their cases… none from a spiritual connection… the absence of light, only a study of darkness in which no real answers are ever known.

What does the Bible offer the one suffering from depression and anxiety that [for whatever reason] they are outcast from society’s safe-guards that other things are somewhat protected with? One word, Jesus. Yahweh has always been working to bring peace among His people:

“Then you shall know that I have sent this commandment to you,
That My covenant with Levi may continue,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
5 “My covenant was with him, one of life and peace,
And I gave them to him that he might fear Me;
So he feared Me
And was reverent before My name.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth,
And injustice was not found on his lips.
He walked with Me in peace and equity,
And turned many away from iniquity.” mal 2:4-6 nkjv

The Levites were somewhat like a model the leaders of today’s Churches should be. If The full Biblical teachings and instruction of God were the core of Ministerial teaching today, and the covenant of life and peace was preached with a genuine fear of God, If the law of truth was in their mouths and no injustices found on their lips… then they would be walking with God in peace and equity, and many would be turned away from iniquity. If people do not hear the full teaching of Biblical living, the only source of “light” for the human soul, then the darkness of evil and self-destruction will eventually manifest itself into broken and degraded society because of iniquity. Are modern “churches” doing their job?

In the midst of a wicked and corrupt society, our peace will never come from carnal indulgences from artificial sources, nor from medicated poisons that twist our minds. Peace is not the absence of troubles or conflicts, it is the presence of Yeshua [Jesus] within our lives. Remember Yeshua saying, “the kingdom is within you.” Everything worldly that we allow to invade that realm will offer us an artificial “peace,” in form of self gratification and carnal illusion. Its encroachment will erode the fellowship of peace with our God.
