| “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Rom 8:1 kjv |
May 11, 2021 Paul the Apostle, writer of the Book of Romans, was a great teacher; He was said to be in line to be promoted to the high seat of a leader in the Sanhedrin, the highest Religious legal forum in Israel’s society... at the time of the Roman occupation of Israel in the first Century; and at the time of Christ’s recent crucifixion… And he was determined to wipe out early followers of Yeshua. Then suddenly, Paul had a life changing encounter with the Christ of the Bible (Yeshua, the Word in the Flesh). Then, those who hailed his great Sanhedrin qualities, now wanted him dead. What a difference a day makes. For all generations, since Yeshua’s time, men have struggled with walking out the Biblical faith life of a born-again Christian… one who has died to self and been “reborn as a new creation,” by the Holy Spirit. Many have secluded themselves as monks and other self-denying roles to try to experience pious status… but is that, “liberty in the Spirit,” that Paul spoke to the Corinthians about? “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” 2 Cor 3:17 kjv “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Rom 8:4 kjv And, how does one “walk” after the Spirit… as Paul discuses in Romans Chapter 8? Note closely that Paul is saying the objective is, “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in US...” This objective shocks some liberal minded religious people who want to trash the liberating commandments of Yahweh (God) as a pathway to their “spiritual freedom.” Normally, this does not end well, as people who practice separation from God’s Word, being the Holy and Cardinal elemental structure in their “born-again” lives, alternately become wanderers in the wasteland of the devil’s many distractions that imprison them in a dark spiritual dungeon of philosophy, humanism, and carnal occultism. They think this “liberty” is what Paul taught, misunderstanding that the Law, or Word (Spirit) is the light of truth, that without it, one does not know “which” spirit they are being led by. The natural man, the flesh or carnal man, looks for “things of the flesh,” and thinks “the spirit” is actually allowing them to indulge such lifestyles… sin is very deceiving. Because there are two spirits, one emanating from the “Tree of Life,” and one emanating from the “Tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” Rom 8:5 kjv Note that Paul further says: “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Rom 8:6-9 kjv It is my sincere thinking that in order for the Spirit of Christ to “dwell” in us, that the Word of God must be that which “dwells in us.” John 1:1 informs us: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
It is of upmost importance that we acknowledge and hold fast to the “Christ in us,” which is the Torah, Word of God, which later manifested to us as the living, walking Son of God, Yeshua the Messiah, whom they crucified and tried (unsuccessfully) to destroy… please be fully aware that these same devil spirits embodying men today are determined to snuff out the “Christ in us…” Thankfully, Paul assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ: Rom 8:31-39 kjv Shalom… John |
