Yeshua goes on to say: “... the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” jn 14:17 nkjv  It seems the emphasis here is “loving God [Yeshua] and keeping His Commandments… not suggestions. AND, that Yahweh will give you [us] another Helper, the “Spirit of truth.” So, what is the truth, and who decides what truth is? In a quick nutshell, TRUTH, is the Torah the “forever settled Word.” ps 119:89 nkjv  The Torah is the only Holy Word [Commandments] vocalized from almighty God [Yahweh] from the mountain… Mt. Sinai. Tragically, such “keeping” language is an obstacle to rebellious and disobedient “believers.” Believers in words only, not their actions, as noted in last weeks devotional, concerning being “doers of the Word, not just hearers only.” ja 1:22 nkjv

For me, I’m glad for the Scriptures that say: “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” phil 2:12-13 nkjv    AND,

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isa 55:11 nkjv

The great comfort, to me, is that Yahweh knew fully well, from before the foundation of the world, that we would need a Savior [Yeshua, the lamb slain before the foundation of the world, rev 13:8]; and a “helper” to indwell us so that we could have an inside instructor [if I may use that example] so that we could know the truth, and have empowering spiritual energy to “do” the Word… because IT would be working within us to help us both “will and to do for His good pleasure.” Additionally, since Yeshua teaches us the Word of Yahweh is seed, and Yeshua is the sower and the helper, for the seed to yield fruit of the good kind [His likeness], which is fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophetic words… “My word that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isa 55:11 nkjv

Paul says: “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” col 1:27 nkjv   I think it is both a mystery and amazing that Yahweh conceived and constructed such a marvelous plan and method by which we could find our way to life eternal… and ALL because:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” jn 3:16-17 nkjv

Then and now… From the beginning of the the first naturally born person, human nature has been violent, disobedient, rebellious, selfish, and spiritually debased by the devil and his demons… only the love of Yahweh and His purposed plan for our deliverance from the kingdom of darkness, into the kingdom of His dear Son… by our being “born again,” saves us from self-destruction, think about it.

That brings me to suggest a couple short articles that give example of the calamity we have so carelessly and indulgently sinned ourselves into… because we ignored or refused to give attention to the Torah’s instruction of cause and effect [blessing and cursing]. I hope you will read them and see how they relate to the message I have presented in this devotional. Our society today is what we have made of it.
