February 1, 2022 “Cease listening to instruction, my son, And you will stray from the words of knowledge.” prov 19:27 nkjv The Psalmist David gives us these following words of “instruction” so the words of knowledge will sustain us… “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; “9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. “11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward. 12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. 13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression. “14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” ps 19:7-14 nkjv David’s son Solomon penned these words… “He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But he who is careless of his ways will die.” prov 19:16 nkjv Life is a series of choices, the consequences are results of our own doings… certainly, our confession should be: “I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.” ps 101:2 nkjv The word “perfect” here is in the context of maturity… and when a person becomes a believer in Yeshua [Jesus], the working of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit takes our “lump of clay” and forms and shapes it on the potters wheel daily, yielding a more “perfect” man day by day… are we allowing Him the freedom of “shaping” us, even when He presses on sensitive parts or our hearts?
