"And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever." 1 jhn 2:17 nkjv

December 28, 2021

Today, as I pen these words, it is the near conclusion of the year 2021…

I need not remind you what a tumultuous chain of events 2021 flooded us with. We would now refer to 2018 as “normal.” Then, came the chaos of destruction in 2019, the increased uprising of anarchy and social disturbance to lay groundwork to upset the peaceful environment needed for a civil national election in 2020. 2019 also ushered in the evil “pandemic” that manifested in 2020 into total upset of our “normal” lifestyles… everything that could be distorted was distorted; some things destroyed and never to be recovered. All of this has brought despair, anxiety, fear, doubt, uncertainty… and to some “believers,” near collapse of their faith.

All of this has a purpose; I believe Yahweh [God] has been using these “shakings” to set the stage for His “Last Days” plan for the restoration of all things. It could be His way to get our attention to turn our eyes back to His ways, because so much of our system and lifestyle is driven by hedonism and fleshly, ungodly pursuits. This is no different than what happened to Biblical Israel in the days of Isaiah and Jeremiah, prophets during declining days of the “people of God,” before they were carried away by the Assyrians and Babylonians. They were absorbed into hedonism, idolatry, sensual sins and all forms of sinful activity. Even their priests and princes, kings, governors and diviners were foul and corrupt… their prognosticators flooded their minds with misinformation and false prophecy, ridiculing true Prophets like Isaiah and Jeremiah. Does any of this sound familiar?

If things today are following the same decline into the dark ages (spiritual darkness), that the Bible says will come in the last days, now is the time for us to dig in and reestablish sound practices of living faithful and steadfast lifestyles in relationship to our Creator Yahweh, and gather together with other faithful believers of like faith. Let us be both warned, and comforted, by these words of the Apostle Paul, writing to the Colossians, in Chapter 3:

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. 5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

“8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

“12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” col 3:1-17 nkjv

As it seems to me… if there is any hope or security in our future, it will come only from our God Yahweh... fellowship in/with the Word of God (Yeshua/Jesus dwelling in our hearts in the presence of the Holy Spirit). Everything else is crumbling to join wasted past civilizations that are piled up in the ash-heap of history; all these were ruined by the same works of men, inspired by demonic overlords… to whom they sold their souls for power and wealth.

Let us always remember and think on the promised good plans Yahweh has for us, to have a hope and a future, as He says in Jer 29:11 nkjv.

Shalom... John
