“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”  jer 29:11 nkjv

November 18, 2025

”Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” isa 55:6-7 nkjv

What did the Prophet Habakkuk conclude about his understanding of what Yahweh said He was going to do to Judah because of their sinful debauchery in His sight, and acting as if He [Yahweh] did not, or would not see the wickedness of their ways? One commentator summed up the book in these words:

”The Book of Habakkuk begins with Habakkuk crying out to God for an answer to why God's chosen people are allowed to suffer in their captivity (Habakkuk 1:1-4). The Lord gives His answer to Habakkuk, essentially stating, "You wouldn't believe it if I told you" (Habakkuk 1:5-11). Habakkuk then follows up by saying, "Ok, you are God, but still tell me more about why this is happening" (Habakkuk 1:17-2:1). God then answers him again and gives him more information, then tells the earth to be silent before Him (Habakkuk 2:2-20). Then Habakkuk writes a prayer expressing his strong faith in God, even through these trials (Habakkuk 3:1-19).”

Why do we see (so often) the evil and unjust powers of earth’s empires and nations repeatedly causing so much suffering and devastation of justice, morality, civil order, human endeavors of so much hard work and sacrifice… ? There is a Bible verse that says, “until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled.”

Yeshua said of the last days, just before His return… ”But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. 25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;” luk 21:23-25 nkjv

Yeshua’s words sort of mimic a similar picture of what Habakkuk was looking at. What was Habakkuk’s conclusion to the matter? He closed his writing with these words:

“Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.” Hab 3:17-19 nkjv

The Apostle Paul writes in Romans… “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” [Note: all these things are in Yahweh's hands, only, we have no control over them]
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” rom 8:35-39 nkjv

Notice a particular highlighted section of scripture above. Some translations use the term “creature” where “created thing” is used here… either way, it can mean God created, or human manipulation of DNA with technologically infused nanotech transhumans, and/or AI motivated things [“creatures”], God forbidden things… not unlike as noted in Genesis 6:11-12, the corruption of all flesh, including humanity [Yahweh’s creation] in Noah’s day when fallen angles [watchers as noted in the book of Enoch], are recorded as to having done… and being chained in darkness for their final judgment, as noted in Jude 1:6.   In fact Yeshua said these things would bring about the destruction of all flesh, unless Yahweh shortened the days… mat 24:22; mark 13:20.

In the Prophet Habakkuk’s distress from Yahweh's words, he wrote this:
“Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.
4 “Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith.” hab 2:2-4 nkjv

Paul quotes Habakkuk’s “the just shall live by faith,” in Romans 1:17 and Galatians 3:11.  I think the take-away here is that, in the closing of the times of the gentiles being fulfilled, that we must focus our thinking and understanding on the importance of living by faith… everything in the coming days of persecution and deception [designed by the demonic powers] is planned and in operation to confuse us and steal our faith and confidence in the one and only hope we have in this world or in the world to come… Keep your eyes on Yeshua… study and learn His Torah, and hone your spiritual “ears and eyes” perception to the coaching of the Holy Spirit… It is how you live by faith. Everything else is an illusion.

Shalom, John

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 cor 4:17-18 nkjv
