| “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”Jer 29:11 nkjv

October 5, 2021 “To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me.” ps 25:1-2 nkjv There are many wonderful promises in the thoughts that David expresses, especially concerning his thankfulness and hope in Yahweh [God]. Whether we are dealing with natural enemies or spiritual evils that try to invade our peace and bring anxiety and fear upon us, when we turn our prayers and supplications to our merciful and faithful Creator, Yahweh, we can proclaim words of hope and victory in the face of evil and wicked persons who scheme to enslave and destroy us… consider these following expression that witness these truths. “Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. 13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth. 14 The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. 15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net. 16 Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me, For I am desolate and afflicted. 17 The troubles of my heart have enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses! 18 Look on my affliction and my pain, And forgive all my sins. “19 Consider my enemies, for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred. 20 Keep my soul, and deliver me; Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You. 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.” ps 25:12-21 nkjv It seems there are two “bookends,” that frame life’s difficult issues, and subsequently, our security in our faithful God; first, the question is “Who is the man that fears the LORD?” Second, David says, “Let integrity and uprightness preserver me.” These “keys” open the gate for hope to become reality. While the storms of life and uncertain times threaten our lives and those we love, let us direct our focus and effort to be in a close personal relationship with our Savior, and keep His Word first and foremost in our pursuits, as He expects of us… I think times are coming when it will be our only place of refuge. Remember Yeshua [Jesus] is living in us, waiting to step in and carry us past our weakness and failures; our trust in Him to do so is our passageway to peace and deliverance from the powers of darkness.
