October11, 2022 “knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,” 2pet 3:3-5 nkjv "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed."luk 17:26-30 nkjv As I read the Bible, study the conditions of “last days” that the Scriptures reveal about the “times of the coming of Yeshua;” and as I read current news of many sources worldwide… I think visual and real time events reveal that we live in times similar to the “days of Noah; and the days of Lot.” Likewise today, I hear people say, “things have always been this way… etc, etc.” They truly don’t know the Bible’s divine instruction to “whosoever will, hear what the Spirit has to say.” Paul says these profound words: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (these are ALL external issues; out of our hands; in Yahweh’s hands alone) “As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 8:35-39 (KJV, emphasis mine) “Nor any other creature,” [Strong’s #g2937, created thing, I submit... is not limited to God’s doing] Due to our President’s recent Executive Order, we now live in a world of unrestrained scientific and technological research, and creation [only beginning with Covid mRNA experimental crimes against humanity]; and now mad-men are unleashed to produce anything their demonically inspired minds can conjure up. Not unlike the days of Noah, when fallen angels helped men corrupt all flesh, according to the extra-biblical book of Enoch. With the fast pace development of robotics, nanotechnology, transhumanism AI-machine-brain integration, DNA altering injections, and more… I expect the “any other creature” noted in Paul’s words, likely included and foretold these “creations” of our modern times. I make this observation and assertion as a warning because of what has already begun, and to what I see looming upon the near horizon. Yahweh’s people are being marginalized, persecuted, killed, martyred, imprisoned and more… and as the Scripture says afflicted with all deceivableness of unrighteousness. Let me close this devotional with the assurances that Paul makes concerning believers who have decided to embrace Yeshua’s [Jesus’] salvation and have faith in God’s inseparable love from their person… it appears there will be more psychological and spiritual intimidation and mental stress on humankind, beyond what the last two and one-half years have pressed upon us. Let me encourage you to anchor your thinking and focus upon the promises of Yahweh’s eternal Word and let the Holy Spirit counsel your decisions and choices concerning the challenges ahead… it is the only safe harbor available. Shalom… John |
