“Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.” mat 24:26 nkjv |
January 6, 2026 “What did Yeshua [Jesus] fully mean by this comment [warning]? He was talking about the last days when deceptions will be running rampant [uncontrolled] throughout the earth… Here is the context of this verse: “See, I have told you beforehand. 26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” mat 24:25-27 nkjv It is my opinion, that most likely, there must be some assumption that will “condition” peoples thinking, that pertain to Yeshua’s second coming, that would cause them to be deceived into false thinking about this event… Does that make sense to you? Yeshua’s warnings and others, such as Paul’s comments concerning people being sent a strong “delusion” from Yahweh [yes indeed, from HIM], because they did not have a love for the truth. See this profound scripture: “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 thes 2:9-12 nkjv I think several things are working to cause this condition… I will only mention a couple, first, men have always sought pleasure [hedonism] over faithfulness; when I was in full time pastoral ministry, I have heard persons say things like, “God wants me happy,” and, “God knows what kind of rascal I am…,” as if what they were doing was tentatively acceptable to Him, as their response when I was trying to advise against their errant practices. If you study the Bible’s records of the idolatry and hedonism of “God’s people,” you will find it has always been that way… It is why Yahweh gave Moses the Torah… an instructional practice ethos for what He expected of them. The Torah is the forever settled Word of Yahweh, Ps 119:89. Yeshua clearly said He did not come to change it, just fulfill it... mat 5:17 And that He was doing and is yet still doing… in our behalf. He is the ongoing [ONLY] eternal sacrifice for the repentant sinner. Praise Yeshua! Having said that, for that very reason, we MUST turn from hedonism and pleasure seeking of anti-Torah practice. You may wish to refer to “What is the Torah?” The second thing, I think, that causes people’s confused thinking, because of deception’s conditioning of people, to look for the “real” Yeshua [Jesus] in the wrong places, is the outpouring of false teachings from pulpits, and insane YouTube and internet AI teachings and “documentaries,” that lead uninformed people away from Yahweh’s truth… Truth is the Torah… Truth is the lifestyle of the one and only real Yeshua… deception is the devil’s unrelenting drive to confuse people about who Yeshua is and who we are as followers of Yeshua. Yeshua said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” jn 10:27 nkjv What is the main source of “hearing” Yeshua’s authentic voice…? Is it not the authentic Holy Spirit that always agrees with the Torah and the ways of Yeshua? Is this not the main navigation for faith walking? Again, when in pastoral ministry, I’ve heard people say that with the New Testament times, they don’t need the Bible because the “spirit” leads them… well, people come up with all kinds of thinking that IS NOT from Biblical foundation. The Bible reads, “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” rom 10:17 nkjv I normally ask [to question] such people, if they do not know what the Bible says, then how will they know “which spirit” they are hearing… better watch out! Paul also said, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. [your own mind’s pleasure]… gal 5:16 nkjv Our fleshly minds are very treacherous… Now here is the main point, when Yahweh’s ways are always looking out for us, if we are deceived to seek other contrary ways we will be separated from His truth… how will that turn out? Yeshua said: “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.” jn 16:12-14 nkjv It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit that makes the final link in the chain of protection that links to the Torah’s foundation and to Yeshua’s living example… Yeshua said the Holy Spirit would convict [convince] the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Jn 16:7-11 nkjv Therefore, I propose that the title scriptural meaning is, in its fullness, also related to when we hear or see others, or religious doctrines of men, or AI references, or YouTube prognosticators, or whatever, saying “look” He’s here, or “over there”, etc… the lie and deception is as much in play therein, as at the end of the age when they say the “physical” Christ is “here or over there.” In any circumstance… I encourage you to know the Bible, front to back, fellowship daily with the real Yeshua living in you, and listen [hear] the inner voice of the Holy Spirit. If somehow you think or “feel” these three are not in agreement… something is trying to break the chain of protection in and around you. I hope you will visit the links for the Torah and Holy Spirit noted above… the real person of Yeshua is faithfully defined and identified in the “Word and the Spirit.” Shalom, John |
