First: Thank you for reviewing our June 2017 Current Events Update. Shavuot/Pentecost; we have now come to the end of the "counting of the omer" (the 7 Sabbaths + 1 day); counted from the first “weekly” Sabbath following the offering of the "first fruits" (during the days of unleavened bread; Lev 23:9-21). This marvelous festival of Shavuot (Pentecost) is one of the festivals YHWH commanded Israel to commemorate throughout all their generations... meaning always and forever in the season of its time. Significantly, it is the traditional understanding that YHWH'S giving of the Torah at Mt Sinai was 50 days after Israel was delivered from Egypt following the Passover... likewise, the outpouring of the "power from on high," that Yeshua admonished the disciples to tarry at Jerusalem to receive [not many days hence]… was to occur when the day of Pentecost had “fully come.” (Acts 2:1) This “fully come” description most likely reflects the 50-days to be exact. YHWH does things on a precise time-line. Immediately prior to His Ascension into Heaven, here is the last thing Yeshua told his faithful disciples to do: [Act 1:4-5 KJV] 4 And, being assembled together with [them], commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, [saith he], ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. This was to be the divine energy force that all believers could experience… not fully poured out on mankind heretofore… Yeshua said to them: [Act 1:8 KJV] 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. The Holy Spirit is the third part of the forever stable and unmovable “three legged foundation” that YHWH had planned for his followers, “before the foundation of the world.” First, the “WORD” from the Mountain that YHWH spoke to Moses and wrote on the tables of stone [the eternal Torah]; then the “WORD” in the flesh (John 1:1-14) [Yeshua; the living Torah walking among us to example the relationship we should have with YHWH]; and the third part, the Holy Spirit… the indwelling of the divine being [YHWH] within the heart and mind of the believer. For more on this subject: go to this link, the “Ministry of the Holy Spirit.” And Finally, a comment about Pentecost's further importance “the harvest of souls,” from a highly respected Messianic Fellowship Leader: "Today, more than ever, we must have these spiritual talents working in us so that the gospel of the kingdom may be published into all the world for a witness before the end comes (Matt 24:14). The fact that Scripture also refers to Pentecost as the Feast of Harvest of the First Fruits gives us some spiritual insight concerning the harvest of souls that Elohim desires to be reaped from the earth. The Bible teaches that Yeshua was the Son of Man who came to sow good seed—the Word of YHVH (Luke 8:5–11). We, therefore, as members of the body of Messiah are the reapers sent forth for harvesting (John 4:38; Matt 9:38). Through Spirit-filled witnessing, the harvest of earth will be reaped. It is for this reason that Yeshua made the declaration, “You shall receive power after that the Set-Apart Spirit is come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto me ... unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). The people of YHVH can never be effective and productive in this harvest without an abundant anointing or baptism of the Set-Apart Spirit. Pentecost symbolizes anointing for the harvest. A yearly observance of this biblical memorial day by redeemed believers serves to remind us of our total dependence upon the Spirit of Elohim to guide, empower and anoint us to help reap the spiritual harvest of earth. The apostle Peter referred to it as a “time of refreshing” helping to prepare the restoration of all things so that Yeshua can come back (ibid.)." [Above Quote From: Natan Lawrence's "Shavuot, Pentecost, the Feast of Weeks"] Now on the topic of “end times” and prophetic issues: let us consider the word “convergence.” Imagine, if you will, a central “axle” like a wagon wheel, with all the radial spokes running from the outer rim to the center (all “converging” at the axle). The Bible has many prophetic utterances and foretold events that have come to pass and are yet to come to pass… and many of the “yet to come” events are gathering for their appearance as we speak, to be played out on the stage of the “greatest show on earth.” There is a Christian movie that is worth watching that “gathers” these Biblical issues into a documentary that suggests that “we” are the last generation that Yeshua spoke of in His Olivet discourse (Mat chapter 24; Luke chapter 21; Mark chapter 13)… when He said, “see that you be not troubled: all these thing must come to pass... the end is not yet... but the beginning of sorrows.” (Mat 24:6-8) Someday, there will be a “last generation” are we that generation? Keep your eye and heart on the Word of God and “watch” because Paul said, “we are NOT the children of the night, but we believers are of the day…” 1 Thess 5:5. So, perhaps you may want to go to this web-link and check out this “Convergence” movie. It is noteworthy that news reports indicate that ancient Pagan symbols and modern secular social behavior are converging: ancient idol worship, which preached a form of moral decrepitude (that may sound startlingly familiar), is being brought to the forefront in high-level political and societal circles… the G7 nations meeting in Italy this month will have the “Palmyra” arch there to (I think) connect some type of occult link to message their expectations or perhaps “draw” from its source. Consider, if you will, our typical immoral landscape; here is what a prominent Rabbi said: Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, the former Chief Rabbi of Great Britain, made a prescient comment on the new moral reality in an article in the the Wall Street Journal in 2011, warning, “A tsunami of wishful thinking has washed across the West saying that you can have sex without the responsibility of marriage, children without the responsibility of parenthood, social order without the responsibility of citizenship, liberty without the responsibility of morality and self-esteem without the responsibility of work and earned achievement.” Here is a link to more information: Pagan temple worship including child sacrifice and sex orgies were normal Baal cult activity. Think if you will, what is the difference between that and abortion and unbridled sexual behavior of today's culture… tragically, many “church people,” as reported in the news, are on board with eastern religious practices and social activity that closely approximates Pagan cultures of long ago. The impact on our society is tragic and the Rabbi above calls it a “tsunami of wishful thinking.” It would be difficult to find a better choice of words. We are probably past the point of no return, but I think we need to pray for YHWH'S intervention nevertheless. It is really the only thing believers have left. Do you believe they are one and the same in different episodes of time, and that the New Jerusalem will be the return of the pre-fallen state of "Eden?" The article below is excellent information, and down the page it addresses the facts about the Manchester bomber… he was not a surprise; he and his family were CIA connected (namely to be used in undoing Libya) and the French and MI6 were fully informed on his doings… what are we to make of all this madness? In a nutshell, I think the Global New World Order is doing all this smoke and mirrors exercise to break down our nationalism, liberty and freedom, and the more chaos and confusion they can employ, the sooner they can obtain their objective of enslaving all the people of the World… Just as the Book of Revelation has foretold. It is really interesting that multitudes of Muslims are fleeing France for “shelter in England.” They say they are protected there and the state provides for their welfare… You can get arrested in many European countries for expressing your opposition to the “multicultural” paradigm the central planners are determined to defend with the present political household… read the link below for better understanding the mind-numbing madness that has its tentacles wrapped around Europe.
